Welcome Friend!

I’m Scott Grogg, a 37 year old Christ follower taking the journey of a lifetime in His service as the senior pastor of the First Church of God of Middle River in the northeast suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland.  My family and I have just celebrated two years here  and really enjoy the area since we’re close to so many things (Washington, DC, New York City, the mountains, beaches, and family).

Prior to coming to Baltimore, I spent 7 years working for Warner Southern College in Lake Wales, Florida serving in a variety of positions (web administrator, distance learning support specialist, online instructor and eventually as a full-time faculty member).  The last two years serving at the college, I was administrator over the online educational programs, worked with full time & adjunct level faculty, taught classes, as well as provided support (emotionally & spiritually) to the adult education students.

The journey of life prior to working with the college, led me into opportunities serving in paid & volunteer positions in youth and children’s ministries, as well as senior pastorates.  I earned a B.A. in Pastoral Ministry and completed a minor in Missions from Warner Southern College in 1994 and have completed the coursework for an MS in Education from Cal State University East Bay.

I have a wonderful family that includes my wife, Heidi, and have two children, Heather (age 15) and Kimberly (age 13).  We enjoy traveling, computers, spending time together, swimming, and serving others.
